Dr Aimilia Vareli becomes visiting research fellow at Harvard Unviersity

Abstract

Thanks to support from the European Haematoloy Society, Aimilia has arrived in Harvard Medical School to spend 2 months as a visiting research fellow taking her postdoctoral work to the next level in the Oyler-Yaniv lab.

Thanks to the EHA Research Mobility Grant which Dr Vareli secured, she has embarked on a research visit to Harvard Medical School. She is spending two months in the amazing environment of the Oyler-Yaniv lab exploring cell signalling and cell fates.

My primary research focus is in understanding how intracellular, molecular signalling networks control immune cell fate, and how misregulation of these molecular networks leads to haematological malignancies. My combination of immunology and haematological training lead to a particular interest in B-cell lymphomas.
